DESIGNATING APRIL 1, 1978 TO MARCH 31, 1979, AS THE PERIOD FOR NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN OF THE BOY SCOUTS OF THE PHILIPPINES

WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines merits the moral encouragement and financial support of our people in its program of character building and citizenship training among the youth;

WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines with its present two million membership, has been a staunch ally for the past 50 years in the development of a responsible national community;

WHEREAS, the success of the Scouting Movement in working for a better tomorrow requires the sustained and continuous support of every citizen; and

WHEREAS, the yearly fund campaign of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines will once again afford the people an opportunity to contribute to such a worthy cause;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby designate April 1, 1978 to March 31, 1979, as the period for the Boy Scouts of the Philippines Annual Fund Campaign. I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines to assist in this campaign and to give it their unstinted support in order that it may be able to continue with its youth citizenship training program.1aшphi1
