AUTHORIZING THE PHILIPPINE NATIONAL SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND FOUNDATION, INC. TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL, MEMBERSHIP AND FUND CAMPAIGN FOR THE PERIOD FROM JULY 16 TO DECEMBER 31, 1978

WHEREAS, the Philippine National School for the Blind Foundation, Inc., a non-stock, non-profit civic foundation and duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission, is engaged in the physical, mental and social rehabilitation of the blind citizens and nationals of the country in cooperation with the Government; and

WHEREAS, to realize these laudable objectives, the Foundation needs the unqualified moral and financial support of the nation;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorized the Philippine National School for the Blind Foundation, Inc. to conduct a national educational, membership and fund campaign for the period from July 16 to December 31, 1978.

I call upon all citizens and residents, regardless of nationality and creed, government, educational, religious, business firms and civic organizations to support actively and give generously of their means to the Foundation’s cause for the welfare and development of the blind of the country.
