DECLARING FRIDAY, JUNE 2, 1978, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN MAKATI, METROPOLITAN MANILA.

WHEREAS, June 2, 1978, marks the anniversary of the founding of Makati, Metropolitan Manila, as an independent municipality; and

WHEREAS, the residents of Makati should be afforded full opportunity to celebrate with fitting ceremonies this milestone in their municipality’s history;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, June 2, 1978, “Araw ng Makati,” as a special public holiday in the municipality of Makati, Metropolitan Manila.
