AUTHORIZING THE PHILIPPINE MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION, INC., TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL MEMBERSHIP, EDUCATIONAL AND FUND CAMPAIGN DURING THE PERIOD FROM JANUARY 1 TO DECEMBER 31, 1978

WHEREAS, the Philippine Mental Health Association, Inc., is a non-profit organization deeply involved in the preventive, curative and rehabilitative aspects of mental illness;

WHEREAS, said organization during its two decades of existence has demonstrated the value and importance of its service; and

WHEREAS, the Association needs more members in the movement and funds to broaden the scope of its preventive and rehabilitative projects;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Philippine Mental Health Association, Inc., to conduct a national membership, educational and fund campaign during the period from January 1 to December 31, 1978. I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines to assist in this humanitarian endeavor by giving generously of their means.

All donations and contributions to the Association shall be exempt from all taxes and the same shall constitute allowable deductions in full for income tax purposes of the donors.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be fixed.
