DECLARING 1978 AS THE YEAR OF DEVELOPMENTAL ADVERTISING AND COMMUNICATION

WHEREAS, developmental advertising and communication play a vital role in the total human development which accelerates environmental, social and economic growth and stability of the country; and

WHEREAS, effective and responsible communication and advertising enhance the continuous reform of the nation, and the people should be made to realize the benefits they derive therefrom;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare 1978 as “THE YEAR OF DEVELOPMENTAL ADVERTISING AND COMMUNICATION” under the auspices of the Philippine Board of Advertising and other advertising associations.
