DECLARING THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 1978, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN MANDALUYONG, METROPOLITAN MANILA.

WHEREAS, the Liberation Day of Mandaluyong, Metropolitan Manila falls on Thursday, February 9, 1978; and

WHEREAS, the people of aforesaid municipality should be afforded the opportunity to commemorate with fitting ceremonies this milestone in their town’s history;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby proclaim Thursday, February 9, 1978, as a special public holiday in Mandaluyong, Metropolitan Manila.
