[ Proclamation No. 1692, November 25, 1977 ]

EXTENDING THE PERIOD OF FUND CAMPAIGN OF THE KAWAL AWARD FOUNDATION TO FEBRUARY 28, 1978

WHEREAS, the Kawal Award Foundation was authorized to conduct a fund campaign during the period from February 16 to June 30, 1977, under Proclamation No. 1621 dated February 26, 1977;

WHEREAS, in view of the preparations for the third Kawal awarding rites which took place on May 15, 1977, the Foundation has not availed of the authority granted by aforesaid proclamation; and

WHEREAS, the educational fund campaign to be undertaken by the Foundation is a worthy project as it will help alleviate the high cost of education through scholarship grants to deserving children of the Awardees;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby extend up to February 28, 1978 the fund campaign of the Kawal Award Foundation authorized under Proclamation No. 1621.

I urge all citizens and residents of the Philippines to give generously to the project to enable the Foundation to realize its objectives.1aшphi1
