AUTHORIZING THE PHILIPPINE MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION, INC., TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL MEMBERSHIP, EDUCATIONAL AND FUND CAMPAIGN DURING THE PERIOD FROM FEBRUARY 1 TO DECEMBER 31, 1977.

WHEREAS, the Philippine Mental Health Association, Inc., is a non-profit organization deeply involved in the preventive, curative and rehabilitative aspects of mental illness;

WHEREAS, said organization during its two decades of existence has demonstrated the value and importance of its services;

WHEREAS, the Association needs more members in the movement and funds to broaden the scope of its preventive and rehabilitative projects;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Philippine Mental Health Association, Inc., to conduct a national membership, educational and fund campaign during the period from February 1 to December 31, 1977. I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines to assist in this humanitarian endeavor by giving generously of their means.
