[ Proclamation No. 1630, March 28, 1977 ]

REMOVING FROM THE COVERAGE OF PROCLAMATION NO. 1520 DATED NOVEMBER 28, 1975 CERTAIN AREAS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF NASUGBU, PROVINCE OF BATANGAS MORE PARTICULARLY KNOWN AS THE HAMILO COVE.

WHEREAS, under Proclamation No. 1520 dated November 28, 1975, the Municipality of Nasugbu in Batangas Province among others has been declared a Tourist Zone under the administration and control of the Philippine Tourism Authority;

WHEREAS, certain areas in the Province of Batangas are more suitable for the development of the Maritime industry of the country and would be put to better use if utilized for maritime purposes.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution do hereby exclude from the operation of Proclamation No. 1520 dated November 28, 1975 which reserved certain municipalities of Cavite and Batangas for tourism purposes, certain areas surrounding the Hamilio Cove in the Province of Batangas and declare the same open to disposition for maritime purposes.

The area to be excluded is based on a map of Hamilio Cove and approaches located in the Southwest Coast of Luzon prepared by the Philippine Coast and Geodetic Survey with reference No. 4257-A and noted as 1st Edition dated November 10, 1975. The extracted area defined is within latitudes 14º 10' to 14º 12' and longitudes 120º 35' to 120º 37' Note: All date are approximate and subject to further technical survey.
