[ Proclamation No. 1624, February 26, 1977 ]

DESIGNATING JANUARY 1 TO DECEMBER 31, 1977, AS THE PERIOD FOR THE NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN OF THE BOY SCOUTS OF THE PHILIPPINES.

WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines merits the moral encouragement and financial support of our people in its program of character building and citizenship training among the youth;

WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines will hold simultaneous National Jamborees in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao this year;

WHEREAS, the success of the Scouting Movement requires the sustained and continuous support of every citizen; and

WHEREAS, the yearly fund campaign of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines will once again afford the populace an opportunity to contribute to such a worthy cause;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby designate January 1 to December 31, 1977, as the period for the Boy Scouts of the Philippines Annual Fund Campaign. I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines to assist in this campaign and to give it their unstinted support to enable the organization to continue its youth development program.1aшphi1
