AUTHORIZING THE LEUKEMIA FOUNDATION OF THE PHILIPPINES, INC. TO CONDUCT AN EDUCATIONAL AND FUND CAMPAIGN FROM MARCH 1, 1977 TO MARCH 1, 1978.

WHEREAS, in the Philippines, the incidence of leukemia, the most dangerous form of blood cancer, has reached a scale that demands national attention;

WHEREAS, the true wealth of the nation is in the health of its people and government should therefore be actually concerned about the health of its citizen; and

WHEREAS, the Leukemia Foundation of the Philippines, Inc., an organization dedicated to assist the government in the fight against said dangerous diseases, needs the support of the public to accomplish its laudable objectives;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E, MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Leukemia Foundation of the Philippines, Inc., to conduct an educational and fund campaign from March 1, 1977 to March 1, 1978.
