DECLARING FRIDAY, DECEMBER 31, 1976, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY

WHEREAS, Friday, December 31, 1976, is sandwiched between two legal holidays, Rizal Day December 30, 1976, and New Year’s Day January 1, 1977;

WHEREAS, December 31, 1976, may be declared a special public holiday without prejudice to the public interest.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, December 31, 1976, as a special public holiday.
