DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM DECEMBER 15 TO 21 OF EVERY YEAR AS “LINGGO NG KAUNLARAN NG MGA ARTISTANG PILIPINO.”

WHEREAS, a national convention of actors and actresses is being held every December 15 to 21 of the year to project the significant role of their profession in nation building in pursuance with the New Society’s development objectives;

WHEREAS, it is desirable to promote the further development of Filipino talent in the performing arts and generate public consciousness of the tremendous potential of the Filipino artist as a positive influence in our society;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from December 15 to 21 of every year as “Linggo ng Kaunlaran ng mga Artistang Pilipino” under the auspices of the organizers of the National Actors and Actresses Convention and other involved organizations.
