DECLARING FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15 AND 16, 1976, RESPECTIVELY, AS SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAYS.
WHEREAS, on Saturday, October 16, 1976, a referendum-plebiscite will be conducted on certain vital issues affecting the nation; and
WHEREAS, the people should be given the fullest opportunity to study, discuss, participate and vote on the issues to be presented to them on this day;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday and Saturday, October 15 and 16, 1976 respectively, as special public holidays.1aшphi1
