[ Proclamation No. 1585, September 14, 1976 ]

DECLARING THE SECOND WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 1976, AS HISTORY WEEK.

WHEREAS, every year we celebrate “History Week” to commemorate the significant events in the history of our country;

WHEREAS, the advent of the New Society has brought in a new era of peace, prosperity and progress to our country unprecedented in our long history; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that “History Week” should coincide with the celebration of the anniversary of the New Society;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the second week of September 1976, and every year thereafter as History Week.

Proclamation No. 1469 dated July 28, 1975, is hereby revoked.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
