BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES

[ Proclamation No. 1577, August 31, 1976 ]

DECLARING WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 1976, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN BAGUIO CITY.

WHEREAS, the first day of September marks the foundation of the City of Baguio; and

WHEREAS, the people of Baguio City should be afforded full opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their City’s history;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Wednesday, September 1, 1976, as a special public holiday in Baguio City.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
