[ Proclamation No. 1575, August 27, 1976 ]

DECLARING AUGUST 30, 1976, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BULACAN.

WHEREAS, the thirtieth of August marks the birth anniversary of the late Marcelo H. del Pilar of Plaridel, Bulacan, one of the outstanding heroes in our country’s struggle for freedom and democracy; and

WHEREAS, in recognition of the outstanding services of the late Marcelo H. del Pilar, it is most fitting and proper to give the people of Bulacan full opportunity to celebrate his natal day with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare August 30, 1976, as a special public holiday in the Province of Bulacan.1aшphi1
