MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Proclamation No. 1568, August 12, 1976 ] DESIGNATING THE PERIOD FROM JUNE 1 TO DECEMBER 31, 1976 FOR THE ANNUAL EDUCATIONAL AND FUND CAMPAIGNS OF COMMUNITY CHEST AND COUNCIL ORGANIZATIONS IN THE PHILIPPINES. WHEREAS, the Community Chest and Council organizations in the Philippines are engaged in the funding of community health and welfare services, as well as in the promotion of economic well-being of the people in the different parts of the country; WHEREAS, in the promotion of such economic well-being, Barangay Rural Improvement Corps, or BRICs have been organized in almost all of the provinces, cities and municipalities; WHEREAS, the Community Chest and Council organizations unite into one annual appeal the campaigns for public assistance to the health and welfare needs of the more needy among our citizens; and WHEREAS, it is desired that the humanitarian objectives of the Community Chests and Councils of the Philippines, Inc., be fully attained; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby designate the period from June 1 to December 31, 1976 for the annual educational and fund campaigns of all the Community Chest and Council organizations in the Philippines under the auspices and supervision of the Community Chests and Councils of the Philippines, Inc.1aшphi1 I hereby call upon all residents, of whatever race or creed, business firms, organizations and government officials and employees in the areas above mentioned to support the campaigns of the Community Chest and Council organizations, by giving generously of their means and volunteer efforts to this one annual appear campaign for the promotion of the health, welfare and economic well-being of our less fortunate countrymen, in their respective areas of operation.
