DECLARING MONDAY, AUGUST 9, 1976, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN LAOAG CITY.

WHEREAS, the ninth day of August is the birthday of the late Governor Roque B. Ablan, an outstanding resistance leader during the last world war;

WHEREAS, the residents of Laoag City, his birthplace, desire to celebrate his birthday with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, August 9, 1976, as a special public holiday in Laoag City.1aшphi1
