[ Proclamation No. 1562, July 26, 1976 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM JULY 26 TO AUGUST 1, 1976, AS SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY WEEK.

WHEREAS, the Council of Technology and Allied Science of the Philippines (COTASP) will hold a national congress in Manila during the period from July 26 to August 1, 1976 with the theme “Science and Technology in the Philippines Today”;

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to focus national attention on the vital role of science and technology in the development of our country;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from July 26 to August 1, 1976 as “Science and Technology Week” under the auspices of the Council of Technology and Allied Science of the Philippines (COTASP) and other involved organizations.
