[ Proclamation No. 1551, May 31, 1976 ]

DECLARING THE PAGSANJAN GORGE NATIONAL PARK IN CAVINTI, LAGUNA, AS A TOURIST ZONE.

WHEREAS, Pagsanjan Falls, Laguna is one of the major tourist attractions of the country; and

WHEREAS, activities and facilities around the vicinity of Pagsanjan Falls and the rapids have to be controlled and regulated to maintain and preserve their touristic appeal;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Pagsanjan Gorge National Park located in Cavinti, Laguna, more particularly described in Proclamation No. 392, dated March 28, 1939, containing 152, 6448 hectares, more or less, as a tourist zone under the control and administration of the Philippine Tourism Authority (PTA) pursuant to Sec. 5 (d) of P.D. 564. The PTA shall control and regulate all activities and facilities, within the Zone; impose fees and licenses over said activities or for the facilities, which shall constitute as special fund for the development of the Zone.

Proclamation No. 392 dated March 28, 1939, and other decrees, executive orders or regulations inconsistent herewith are hereby revoked or modified accordingly.1aшphi1
