AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 1533 WHICH DECLARES THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 10 TO 21, 1976 AS METROPOLITAN FILM FESTIVAL SO AS TO RESCHEDULE THE PERIOD THEREOF TO DECEMBER 24, 1976 TO JANUARY 2, 1977, AND EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER

WHEREAS, under Proclamation No. 1533, the Metropolitan Film Festival was originally scheduled from September 10 to 21, 1976 and every year thereafter;

WHEREAS, the support and patronage of the movie-going public will be better assured if the Metropolitan Film Festival were held during the Christmas season;

NOW THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers in me vested by the Constitution, do hereby amend Proclamation No. 1533 by rescheduling the Metropolitan Film Festival from September 10 to 21, 1976 to December 24 up to January 2, 1977, and of every year thereafter.

I hereby urge all citizens of the Greater Manila Area as well as all its local officials and movie organizations to celebrate the Festival appropriately to encourage Filipinos to appreciate the Filipino cinema and make it form part of their cultural life.1aшphi1
