[ Proclamation No. 1529, January 27, 1976 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM FEBRUARY 7 TO 14, 1976 AND EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER “LOVE BANK WEEK”

WHEREAS, a sizeable segment of our youth and students are actively engaged in community development, social concern, wider education, sports and athletic development through civic projects initiated by the Love Bank — a youth organization;

WHEREAS, the activities spearheaded by the Love Bank are in line with the drive for compassion and relevant student involvement in the projects of reforms of the New Society;

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the administration to consider youth as an object of development, as a resource for development, and as a responsible member of society, hence, recognizing and encouraging the direction toward relevance being taken by the studentry;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from February 7 to 14, 1976, and every year thereafter as “LOVE BANK WEEK” to emphasize the role being played by our youth and students. I enjoin all government agencies, private organizations, residents, and students to extend every possible assistance to youth and student activities that will help realize the aspirations of our youth.1aшphi1
