DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 20 TO 26, 1975, AS SENIOR CITIZENS WEEK
WHEREAS, the Senior Citizens League of the Philippines has requested that the period from October 20 to 26, 1975 and every third week of October thereafter be declared Senior Citizens Week;
WHEREAS, senior citizens of our country have contributed in no small measure their share in nation-building;
WHEREAS, there are many senior citizens, who because of their exemplary participation in public and private affairs, deserve to be emulated; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to focus public attention on model senior citizens who continue serving their country and fellowmen;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of his Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARC0S, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare October 20 to 26, 1975 and every third week of October thereafter, as “Senior Citizens Week” under the auspices of the Executive Committee for Senior Citizens Week.1aшphi1
