[ Proclamation No. 1502, September 23, 1975 ]

AUTHORIZING THE TAHANAN OUTREACH PROJECTS AND SERVICES, INC. TO CONDUCT AN EDUCATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FROM SEPTEMBER 1, 1975 TO MAY 31, 1976

WHEREAS, it is the vital concern of the Government and of society to combat the menace of juvenile delinquency through treatment, rehabilitation and after-care services of young offenders;

WHEREAS, the strength of a nation lies in the preservation of the unity of the family and the development of the youth;

WHEREAS, the TAHANAN OUTREACH PROJECTS AND SERVICES, INC. (T.O.P.S.), a private non-profit organization with objectives directed to these noble ends, needs and justifiably deserves nation-wide support from all sectors of society;

WHEREAS, T.O.P.S. depends on the active participation of concerned citizens to succeed in facilitating the normalization of socially maladjusted youth in a community setting through innovative approaches and dynamic development of positive attitudes and skills, thus serving as a model for related rehabilitation outreach programs;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ROBERTO V. REYES, Deputy Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby authorize the TAHANAN OUTREACH PROJECTS AND SERVICES, INC. to conduct an educational and fund campaign from September 1, 1975 to May 31, 1976.

I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines regardless of nationality and creed, to give generously in this fund campaign and reiterate that all donations or contributions given to this charitable cause shall be exempt from income and gift taxes, as provided by Presidential Decree No. 507.1aшphi1
