DECLARING FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 1975, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN COMMEMORATION OF THE THIRD ANNIVERSARY OF THE NEW SOCIETY WHICH FALLS ON A SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 1975

WHEREAS, the third anniversary of the New Society which ushered in an era of peace and prosperity in the country, falls on a Sunday, September 21, 1975;

WHEREAS, there is a need for the fullest participation by all citizens in the celebration of this milestone in our country’s history and that, in pursuance thereof the official celebration be held on September 19, 1975, instead of on September 21, 1975;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, September 19, 1975, as a special public holiday for the celebration of the third anniversary of the New Society.
