[ Proclamation No. 1492, August 27, 1975 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM AUGUST 28, 1975 TO SEPTEMBER 3, 1975 AS MASS SAVINGS FOR MORE PRODUCTION WEEK.

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the government to promote savings consciousness in both the public and private sectors to help achieve the development goals of the nation;

WHEREAS, there is necessity to arouse public awareness in the importance of mass savings for more production;

WHEREAS, the Chamber of Savings & Development Banks is holding its first Annual Convention from August 28 to 30, 1975 during which experts and representatives of savings institutions and development banks will explore the greater role of these institutions in the development of the economy.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ROBERTO V. REYES, Acting Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from August 28, 1975 to September 3, 1975 as “Mass Savings or More Production Week.”

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand ‘and caused the seal of the “Republic of the Philippines to the affixed.
