DECLARING THE PERIOD PROM NOVEMBER 23 to 29, 1975 AND EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER “POPULATION AND FAMILY PLANNING WEEK”

WHEREAS, family planning and responsible parenthood assure greater opportunity for each Filipino to reach his full potential and to attain his individual integrity; and

WHEREAS, in order to disseminate more effectively both services and information on population control there is a need to focus public attention on the national population program of the Government;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from November 23 to 29, 1975 and every year thereafter as “POPULATION AND FAMILY PLANNING WEEK” under the auspices of the Commission on Population and other involved entities or organizations.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
