[ Proclamation No. 1485, August 25, 1975 ]

AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 1459 WHICH DECLARES THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 10 TO 21, 1975 AS METROPOLITAN FILM FESTIVAL SO AS TO RESCHEDULE THE PERIOD THEREOF TO SEPTEMBER 20 TO SEPTEMBER 30, 1975.

WHEREAS, under Proclamation No. 1459, the Metropolitan Film Festival was scheduled to be held from September 10 to 21, 1975;

WHEREAS, due to continuous rains adversely affecting film productions, the films participating in the said Festival cannot be completed on time;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby amend Proclamation No. 1459 by rescheduling the Metropolitan Film Festival for the year 1975, from September 10 to 21, 1975 to September 20 up to September 30, 1975.

I hereby urge all citizens of the Greater Manila Area as well as all its local officials and movie organizations to celebrate the Festival appropriately to encourage Filipinos to appreciate Filipino cinema and make it form part of their cultural life.1aшphi1
