[ Proclamation No. 1475, August 7, 1975 ]

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM DECEMBER 7 TO 13, 1975, AS NATIONAL HANDICAPPED WEEK

WHEREAS, the Philippine Foundation For The Rehabilitation Of Disabled, Inc., will hold industrial, recreational and cultural presentations for the rehabilitation of the disabled on December 7 to 13, 1975; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable to awaken increased government and public interest in the economic and social uplift of the handicapped and disabled;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from December 7 to 13, 1975, as National Handicapped Week under the auspices of the Philippine Foundation for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled and other involved organizations. The Departments of Health, Education and Culture, Social Welfare, Labor and National Defense are hereby enjoined to actively participate and support these events to make the celebrations successful.
