DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM JULY 22 TO JULY 29, 1975 AS ANTI-TB WEEK IN CONNECTION WITH THE COMMEMORATION OF THE 65TH FOUNDATION ANNIVERSARY OF THE PHILIPPINE TUBERCULOSIS SOCIETY, INC.

WHEREAS, the Philippine Tuberculosis Society, Inc. since its establishment on July 29, 1910, has spearheaded the nation-wide campaign to control the spread of tuberculosis, one of the most vicious killer-diseases in the country today;

WHEREAS, for the last 65 years, thousands of dedicated men and women have contributed their time and effort in the service of the Society, thereby making it a symbol of hope, survival and cure among the indigent victims of tuberculosis; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to bring to the attention of our countrymen the humanitarian endeavor of the Society and its important role in improving public health in the New Society;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from July 22 to July 29, 1975 as Anti-TB Week in connection with the commemoration of the 65th Foundation Anniversary of the Philippine Tuberculosis Society, Inc.
