DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM MAY 25 TO 31, 1975, AS RURAL BANKING WEEK.
WHEREAS, the 22nd Annual Convention of Rural Bankers will be held on May 29 to 31, 1975, under the joint sponsorship of the Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines and the Central Bank of the Philippines;
WHEREAS, rural banking, as a vehicle of agricultural financing in the rural economic stream, is a potent force in the implementation of expansion programs in the rural sector; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting to focus national attention on the important role of rural banks in boosting development in the countryside;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from May 25 to 31, 1975, as Rural Banking Week under the auspices of the Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines and other involved entities.
