DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM MAY 2 TO 9, 1975, AS REALTORS’ WEEK

WHEREAS, the Philippine Association of Realtors Boards, in cooperation with other boards of realtors throughout the country, is observing Realtors’ Week from May 2 to 9, 1975;

WHEREAS, the realtors in the Philippines have played a vital role in the development of our communities and cities by serving with professional competence in the promotion, planning, building and purchase of all types of real property;

WHEREAS, realtors have always been in the forefront of those willing to devote their special talents for the betterment of civic and social life by their leadership in service clubs, citizens’ organizations, various advisory commissions, and particularly in their “Build the Philippines a Better Place to Live In” movement for the benefit of the community;

WHEREAS, the motivating spirit of realtor activity is well expressed in the Realtors’ Code of Ethics based on the golden rule which every realtor is pledged to honor; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting to focus national attention on the important role played by realtors in community life;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from May 2 to 9, 1975, as Realtors’ Week and urge our citizens to join with the Philippine Association of Realtors Boards in its celebration.
