DECLARING WEDNESDAY, APRIL 16 OF EVERY YEAR AS MARIKINA MEMORIAL DAY AND APRIL 16, 1975, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN MARIKINA, RIZAL.

WHEREAS, Wednesday, April 16, 1975, marks the founding anniversary of the Municipality of Marikina, Rizal, one of the most progressive municipalities in the country today; and

WHEREAS, the industrious people of Marikina desire to celebrate the historic event with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare April 16, of every year as Marikina Memorial Day and Wednesday, April 16, 1975, as a special public holiday in Marikina, Rizal.
