DECLARING SUNDAY, MAY 4, 1975, AS “MONICO MERCADO DAY” IN THE PROVINCE OF PAMPANGA.

WHEREAS, Sunday, May 4, 1975, marks the 100th birth anniversary of the late Monico Mercado, former congressman, patriot and poet of the province of Pampanga; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable to focus attention on the life of the late Monico Mercado as a fitting tribute to his exemplary life;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Sunday, May 4, 1975, as “Monico Mercado Day” in the province of Pampanga.1aшphi1

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
