[ Proclamation No. 1409, April 4, 1975 ]

DESIGNATING THE PERIOD FROM APRIL 1 TO DECEMBER 31, 1975 AS THE PERIOD FOR THE NATIONAL MEMBERSHIP AND EDUCATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN OF THE PHILIPPINE MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION, INC. (PMHA)

WHEREAS, the task of nation building rests on the mutual cooperation of men and women in the undertaking of social and economic development;

WHEREAS, in order to obtain the most productive results, this undertaking must be conducted in the most rational and coordinated manner;

WHEREAS, this is possible only through the interaction of psychologically and mentally stable personalities;

WHEREAS, mental health is further essential in the development of the New Filipino personality by enabling people to adjust to existing situations;

WHEREAS, the Philippine Mental Health Association, Inc., during its two and one-half decades of existence, has demonstrated the value and importance of its services in the promotion and development of mental health and in the preventive, curative and rehabilitative aspects of mental illness;

WHEREAS, for this year, it has expanded both its mental health development projects and researches three-fold;

WHEREAS, it is a proven fact, more projects and activities will bring about wider outreach for mental health and will necessitate more funds;

WHEREAS, with more members enrolled and with more financial assistance solicited, the movement will have greater support in its campaign for mental health;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby designate the period from April 1 to December 31, 1975, as the period for the 1975 National Membership and Educational Fund Campaign of the Philippine Mental Health Association. I call upon all government officials, employees, citizens and residents to assist in this campaign to give it their wholehearted support.1aшphi1
