[ Proclamation No. 1396, March 11, 1975 ]

EXTENDING TO JUNE 30, 1975, THE NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN OF THE BOY SCOUTS OF THE PHILIPPINES.

WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines merits the moral encouragement and material support of our people in its character building and citizenship training program among the youth;

WHEREFORE, pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 460, the Scout Organization was restructured, necessitating the postponement of its fund campaign activities scheduled for the period July 1, 1974 to December 31, 1974;

WHEREAS, the Scout Organization is in need of ample funds with which to finance its many activities, particularly in implementing its new programs giving emphasis to community service;

WHEREAS, the yearly fund campaign of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines will once again afford the general public the opportunity of supporting a worthy cause;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby extend to June 30, 1975 the period of the National Fund Campaign of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines, to give their full financial and moral support in order that the organization may be able to fulfill its role in the development of the nation’s youth.
