DECLARING 1975 AS “SAVE A LIFE IN EVERY BARRIO” YEAR.

WHEREAS, the “Save A Life In Every Barrio” Project of the First Lady, MRS. IMELDA ROMUALDEZ MARCOS, marks its 8th anniversary in 1975;

WHEREAS, this humanitarian project has served thousands of the less fortunate members of society;

WHEREAS, there is need for more information on the availability of the project to the indigents, which complements the massive health program of the government; and

WHEREAS, the massive placement of “Save a Life signboards will serve efficiently and effectively those who need help;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare 1975 as “SAVE A LIFE IN EVERY BARRIO” year. For effective implementation, I hereby direct the Department of Social Welfare, Rural Health Units, Department of Local Government and Community Development and the local puericulture centers as participating agencies, and government and private hospitals as cooperating units, and to display “Save A Life In Every Barrio” signboards in their premises.
