[ Proclamation No. 1366, December 31, 1974 ]

SETTING JANUARY 30, 1975 AS THE DATE FOR THE HOLIDAY OF A NATIONAL REFERENDUM.

WHEREAS, it is my desire that the people’s views on current national issues be ascertained;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers in me vested by the Constitution, do hereby set January 30, 1975, as a date for the holding of a nationwide referendum for all the Barangays (Citizens Assemblies) throughout the country.

The Commission on Elections shall, after consultations with all sectors of the nation, determine the issue or issues to be submitted for resolution in the referendum.1aшphi1

The Commission on Elections shall promulgate the rules and regulations necessary to implement this Proclamation.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
