MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Proclamation No. 1357, December 19, 1974 ] RESERVING FOR NATIONAL PARK PURPOSES A PARCEL OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN THE BARRIO OF BALBALASANG, MUNICIPALITY OF BALBALAN, PROVINCE OF KALINGA-APAYAO, ISLAND OF LUZON. Upon recommendation of the Secretary of Natural Resources, and by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby set aside as National Park a parcel of land of the public domain containing an area of 1,338 hectares, more or less, situated in the Barrio of Balbalasang, Municipality of Balbalan, Province of Kalinga-Apayao, Island of Luzon, subject to private rights, if any there be, and to a more accurate survey under the administration of the Bureau of Forest Development, in accordance with existing laws and regulations, which parcel of land is more particularly described as follows: “Beginning at a point marked Corner 1 on the Balbalasang Forest Reserve Map, which corresponds to, and is identical with Corner 22 of TPLA No. 261 Map of Cellophil Resources Corporation, running at a bearing of S41º W and a distance of 4,950 meters to Corner 2, which is the junction of the Taboa River and an intermittent creek; thence on a direction of S 87.5º W and a distance of 1,760 meters to Corner 3, which is a point on a ridge Southwest of Barrio Balbalasang, thence on a direction of S85º W and a distance of 2,865 meters to corner 4, which is the junction of the Saltan River and an unnamed creek; thence on a direction of N15º E and a distance of 1,185 meters to Corner 5, which is the junction of Nango River and Tecmo Creek; thence on a direction of N50º E and a distance of 1,215 meters to Corner 6, which is the junction of Uling creek and an unnamed creek; thence on a direction of N47º E and a distance of 915 meters to Corner 7, which is the junction of Ibong Creek and an intermittent creek; thence on a direction N84º E and a distance of 1,785 meters to Corner 8 which is the junction of two unnamed creeks; thence on a direction N52º E and a distance of 2,145 meters to Corner 9, which is a point on the top of a hill; thence due East and a distance of 1,155 meters to Corner 10 which is a junction of two unnamed creeks; thence on a direction of N84º E and a distance of 1,386 meters to Corner 1.” IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.1aшphi1 Done in the City of Manila, this 9th day of December, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-four.
