DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 25 TO 29, 1974, AS ACTUARIAL SCIENCE WEEK

WHEREAS, it is the policy of Government to encourage manpower training and development towards scientific and technical lines;

WHEREAS, it is through the emphasis on science and technology that a young and developing country could further accelerate its progress and development; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable to awaken national awareness to the vital role of actuarial science in economic development, particularly in the insurance industry;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from November 25 to 29, 1974, as Actuarial Science Week under the auspices of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines.1aшphi1
