DECLARING THE SECOND WEEK OF DECEMBER 1974, AS “VETERINARY MEDICINE WEEK”

WHEREAS, it is desirable to underscore the role played by veterinarians in nation building, particularly in safeguarding animal and human health and in improving human nutritional; and

WHEREAS, it is also fitting and proper to focus public attention on the shortage of veterinary manpower by encouraging the youth to pursue Veterinary Medicine as a career;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the second week of December 1974, as “Veterinary Medicine Week” under the auspices of the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association and other concerned entities.
