DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 7 TO 14, 1974, AS INTERNATIONAL MARKETING WEEK

WHEREAS, under Proclamation No. 1309 dated August 28, 1974, the month of October has been declared as International Trade and United Nations month;

WHEREAS, the Philippines is the venue of the 6th Asia-Pacific Regional Marketing Conference, an international conference sponsored by the Philippine Marketing Association and the International Marketing Federation in collaboration with the Philippine Department of Trade, at which delegates from eight other Asian countries — Australia, Japan, India, Korea, New Zealand, Pakistan, Singapore and Thailand — will attend; and

WHEREAS, the Conference theme, “Progress Through Market Information Research and Management,” is within the scope of the International and United Nations Month theme, which is “Expanding Frontiers for National Growth and World Understanding Through Trade, Tourism, Industry, and Exchange of Information;”

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ROBERTO V. REYES, Acting Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from October 7 to 14, 1974, as International Marketing Week.
