MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Proclamation No. 1328, October 7, 1974 ] EXTENDING THE FUND DRIVE OF THE SAFETY ORGANIZATION OF THE PHILIPPINES, INC. (SOPI) TO NOVEMBER 30, 1975 WHEREAS, the primary purpose of the Safety Organization of the Philippines, Inc. Membership, Educational and Fund Drive for which Proclamation No. 1184 has designated the period November 1, 1973 to November 30, 1974, was to generate funds and for involvement in the First World Safety and Accident Prevention Congress (WOSAPCON) which was formerly scheduled on November 26 to 30, 1974; WHEREAS, it was the opinion of some international leading bodies involved in the safety and accident prevention movement that for a safety and accident prevention congress like the WOSAPCON, envisioned to be worldwide in scope, a longer period to get maximum participation from as many countries as possible would be needed; and WHEREAS, the original intention and objective of the Safety Organization of the Philippines, Inc. (SOPI) in their sponsoring the First World Safety and Accident Prevention Congress (WOSAPCON) as embodied under Proclamation No. 1184 would therefore be maximized if the Membership, Educational and Fund Drive campaign were extended and the First WOSAPCON rescheduled for November 17 to 20, 1975; NOW, THEREFORE, I, ROBERTO V. REYES, Acting Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby extend the Membership, Educational and Fund Drive of the Safety Organization of the Philippines, Inc. until November 30, 1975, and designate the month of November 1975 as world safety and accident prevention month in the Philippines, the Philippines as the “Safety Country Year-1975,” and enjoin all citizens and entities to extend their full support and assistance to the activities and projects of the Safety Organization of the Philippines, Inc.1aшphi1 IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
