DECLARING OCTOBER 8 OF EVERY YEAR AS PHILIPPINE LIONS SERVICE DAY
WHEREAS, October 8 has been declared as World Lions Service Day during which millions of Lions Clubs members all over the world will rededicate themselves towards rendering humanitarian service to their fellow men; and
WHEREAS, the Lions Clubs of the Philippines desire to commemorate World Lions Service Day by making all their members throughout the country and the public as well aware of the need to work hand in hand in the great task of nation building, and to give support to the country’s efforts towards economic and social progress;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, ROBERTO V. REYES, Acting Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare October 8 of every year as Philippine Lions Service Day.
