DECLARING FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 1974, AS GENERAL MALVAR DAY IN BATANGAS PROVINCE AND CITIES OF BATANGAS AND LIPA

WHEREAS, Friday, September 27, 1974, marks the anniversary of the birth of the late General Miguel Malvar, one of the last generals to surrender in the revolutionary wars against Spain and the United States; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable at least to commemorate the event in the province of his birth and emulate his exemplary love of country;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Friday, September 27, 1974, a General Malvar Day in Batangas Province and cities of Batangas and Lipa.
