DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM OCTOBER 21 TO 27, 1974, AS SENIOR CITIZENS’ WEEK

WHEREAS, Senior Citizens have contributed their share to nation-building; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable to focus public attention on model senior citizens who continue serving their country and fellow-men and the need for uplifting the handicapped and the aged among them;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from October 21 to 27, 1974, as Senior Citizen Week under the auspices of the Executive Committee for Senior Citizen Week.
