PROCLAIMING SEPTEMBER 20-27 AS NATIONAL STUDENTS’ WEEK

WHEREAS, the Filipino people should commemorate the declaration of Martial Law in the Philippines as an epochal transition of the whole nation into a better society;

WHEREAS, Filipino students and the rest of the youth continue and shall continue to benefit directly from the declaration of Martial Law;

WHEREAS, the Filipino studentry and the youth are helping build a stronger Philippines by constructive involvement in national affairs;

WHEREAS, there is a further need to harness and direct students energy and cultivate their creativity towards community development and total nation-building;

WHEREAS, such student activities such as the Manila’s Outstanding Coeds have signified their dedication toward spearheading youth projects, in line with the government policies, and strengthen the bond between the students, the youth, and the government;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby proclaim September 20 to 27 as National Student’s Week.1aшphi1
