DECLARING DECEMBER 14, 1974 AND EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER AS FIRE SERVICE RECOGNITION DAY

WHEREAS, there is necessity to focus public attention on the important role of our firefighters in saving of human lives and properties, sometimes sacrificing their lives in the process; and

WHEREAS, the Association of Fire Fighters of the Philippines desires to celebrate Fire Service Recognition Day on December 14 of every year;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare December 14, 1974 and every year thereafter as Fire Service Recognition Day.
