DECLARING OCTOBER 1974 AS INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND UNITED NATIONS MONTH

WHEREAS, United Nations Day falls on October 24 of each year;

WHEREAS, the Chamber of International Trade, in cooperation with various government and private entities, has programmed month-long activities on the occasion revolving on the theme “Expanding Frontiers for National Growth and World Understanding Through Trade, Tourism, Industry and Exchange of Information;”

WHEREAS, the activities need the full support of the Government, which has launched a policy of breaking down the ideological barriers among countries by more exchange of culture, goods and ideas among them;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare October 1974 as International Trade and United Nations Month under the auspices of the Chamber of International Trade and other involved organizations.
